Meet the doctor
Originally from Ireland, Dr. Scanlon brings international training and a deep commitment to animal welfare to the Leicester community.
Dr. Colm Scanlon is originally from Ireland, having emigrated to the United States in 1992. Before completing his veterinary training in England at the Liverpool University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Scanlon enjoyed a successful career in research at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he co-authored numerous papers and abstracts.
After graduation, Dr. Scanlon began his veterinary career in small animal practice, where he has taken a particular interest in dermatology, ophthalmology, and general medicine.
Dr. Scanlon's veterinary career has brought him to Leicester as the owner of Leicester Veterinary Clinic, LLC. He acquired the practice from Dr. George Yancey, who served the Leicester community for 30 devoted years.
I promise above all that I will pursue the work of my profession with uprightness of conduct and that my constant endeavor will be the welfare of animals committed to my care.
